Despite COVID-19, Electrosteel Continues to Deliver Pipe

Like all of you, Electrosteel USA is greatly saddened, concerned, and dismayed by the chaos COVID-19 has brought to our country. The heartbreak caused by this virus has left us all numb. At Electrosteel USA, however, it has also reminded us about who we are. While disheartened by events we cannot control, we remain focused on doing our part to help our country overcome this challenge. For us, it means action in three areas:

First, no employee has been laid off, furloughed or had their hours reduced. We are a family and family sticks together! Not a single member of the Electrosteel USA family has lost a penny of income during these stressful times.

Second, we take care of our customers. Every delivery commitment we have made this year has been met! Difficult times test systems. We’re proud of the supply chain management systems used throughout our organization and especially impressed with how well they have held up over the past 60 days. But what really makes them work is our people. Even while news reports were predicting the worst, our team held their ground and made sure pipe shipped. Why? Because we sincerely love what we do and who we do it for.

Third, we take care of our water community. We’ve shipped no less than 7 emergency projects over the past 60 days despite self-imposed rolling shifts and limited team contact. These aren’t huge orders… a fitting for a tie-in, two pipes for a repair or a piece of fab to finish out a well. But they all had one thing in common. A team member left the safety of their home to make sure our community had what it needed, when it needed it. As all of us in the waterworks business know, we make up the backbone of this great country. When we’re needed, we’re there!

Certainly the contribution Electrosteel USA is making during these times pales in compression to the heroic actions of our first responders, medical community and civic leaders. You guys are setting an example for the world to follow and we couldn’t be more proud or grateful. When we get back to normal, we’d like to be the first to pour you a tall glass of water (or cold beer if you prefer!). Until then please know Electrosteel USA and everybody else here in the waterworks industry will keep the water flowing!
